Vegan Tahini Sauce

Ingredients
- 120ml tahini
- 60ml lemon juice
- 10ml maple syrup
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 60ml water
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a measuring jug.
- Whisk until smooth and creamy.
- Adjust water for desired consistency.
Tips & Notes
- Thin sauce (as written) — perfect for drizzling on falafel, shawarma, tacos, salads.
- Thicker sauce — use less water. Makes a perfect sour cream substitute (nut-free replacement for cashew sour cream).
- Stir tahini well before measuring — oil separates in the jar and needs mixing.
- Keeps 7+ days fridge. Also freezer-friendly for 1 month.
- Uses: falafel, shawarma, tacos, salads, as a dip with flatbread/pita, or anywhere you’d use sour cream.
